2021 RULES

DRIVERS AND CO-PILOTS (ALL CLASSES)

  • If race officials feel that the driver or co-pilot are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will not be allowed to race.

  • All occupants of the race vehicle are required to abide by the same rules.

  • Fire suits are required and must have an SFI-5 rating or better and be in good working order.

  • Lace up shoes such as leather tennis shoes or hiking boots are required.

  • DOT approved full face helmet that is in date, must be worn.  Eye protection must be worn.

  • Neck protection must be a HANS or HYBRID type device.

  • It is recommended to wear fire resistant gloves.

  • Drivers must complete a race in the same vehicle in which they start a race with.

  • If a Driver feels another Driver has interfered with their run, the Driver has the option to shut down their rig immediately and wait for race personnel to determine if they can re-run.  If the Driver continues the course, then that time is counted.

  • If a Driver’s race vehicle is not able to run the course, the driver has until 1 minute past the last run of their class to get his car to the starting line and run the course without incurring a DNS (Did not Start).

​UNLIMITED CLASS VEHICLES

  • Minimum allowable tire size is 37-inch diameter. No bolted tires or chains are allowed.

  • Master kill switch must be clearly visible from outside vehicle and accessible from all occupants of vehicle.

  • Two 2.5 lb. fire extinguishers are required. One must be accessible by occupants of vehicle. The other must be accessible from outside the vehicle.  One interior fire extinguisher can be an Element E50.

  • A winch rated for the vehicle is recommended.

  • Roll cage must be tied into the main frame of the vehicle. Roll cage must be structurally sound and be capable of protecting all occupants of the vehicle during any crash.

  • 5-point harnesses are required and must be tied into the main frame of the vehicle. Harnesses must be in good working condition.

  • Side window safety nets are required for each person in the vehicle.  Single seat vehicles must have two window nets.  Window nets must extend from behind shoulder to 6" past the elbow while the occupant is strapped into their seat.  Window nets must be installed on the inside of the roll cage to prevent damage during a rollover.  Window nets must be able to be released by occupant unassisted in an emergency situation.  Window nets must be installed in a way to prevent detaching during normal racing.  Zip Ties, Rope, Tape or Velcro are NOT allowed to attach window safety nets.  Window net bars are highly recommended. The bottom must be secured with attachments that are stronger than the net itself, such as hose clamps or window net bar.

  • The roof of the vehicle must be designed so that limbs cannot protrude through during a rollover event.  It is highly recommended that the roof of the vehicle be covered with either a permanently attached solid panel on the inside or outside of cage or window net type material on the inside of the cage.

  • The fuel cell must have a roll over check valve installed.  Fuel vent line must extend from fuel cell to one side of vehicle across the width of the vehicle, and down to the belly of vehicle or below the fuel cell, whichever is lower.

  • All occupants in vehicle must be protected with an attached skid plate to prevent objects from entering cockpit.

  • A visual inspection will take place at the starting line, to make sure that the vehicle is safe as well as to assure that all occupants of vehicle are properly secured.

 

SXS CLASS VEHICLES

  • Drivetrain must be “UTV”, “SXS” or “Powersports” branded.

  • Two 2.5 lb. fire extinguishers are required. One must be accessible by all occupants of vehicle. The other must be accessible from outside the vehicle.  One fire extinguisher can be an Element E50.

  • A winch rated for the vehicle is highly recommended.  However, it is not required.

ALTERNATE DRIVER

  • A driver can elect a single (1) person to race for their points at multiple races in a season.

  • The elected individual cannot be racing for season points under their own name.

 

DRIVER ENTRY FEE

  • Unlimited Class is $200.00 per race.  Includes Driver plus one entry into park.

  • SXS Class is $150.00 per race.  Includes Driver plus one entry into park.

  • Drivers that race all the races of the season will have their entry fee waived for the finals race.

  • There are no refunds or rainchecks for entry fees.

 

PAYOUTS

  • Unlimited Class Guaranteed Payouts.  End of season points payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd

  • 1st:  $3,000  |  2nd:  $2,000  |  3rd:  $1,000

  • 4th:  $400  |  5th:  $300  |  6th:  $200  |  7th:  $100  |  8th:  $100  |  9th:  $100  |  10th:  $100

 

  • SXS Class Guaranteed Payouts.  End of season points payouts for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

  • 1st - $1,500  |  2nd - $700  |  3rd - $400 |  4th - $200  |  5th - $100

 

Top 10 Unlimited Class and Top 5 SXS Class will return to run a 3rd course for a combined time of all three courses during a race.  Top 5 SXS will race immediately following SXS heats.  Top 10 Unlimited will run after top 5 SXS.

 

POINTS SYSTEM

  • Any driver that attempts either course will be awarded points.

  • Any driver that registers and does not race will receive zero (0) points for that race.

  • There are no “dropped” races or points.

  • Points will be as follows:  0 to 150 possible points in 1-point increments.

  • If the race personnel deem a driver intentionally crossed a boundary line, that driver will receive a DNF for that course.
